After their wedding ceremony on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore on Friday, June 27, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are preparing for the final day of their three-day celebrations in Venice. Famous guests, including Lady Gaga and Elton John, are expected to perform at the closing party. The ceremony featured a Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress and music by Matteo Bocelli.

The wedding had no legal status in Italy, as the couple had already legally married in the U.S. Guests included Bill Gates, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Kim Kardashian, and others.

While local authorities and businesses welcomed the event, activists plan protests, criticizing Bezos for excessive display of wealth and inequality. Venice’s mayor, Luigi Brugnaro, stated that Bezos’ donations and presence benefit the city, and the wedding celebrations were organized without any conditions from the couple.
