In an exciting development for international travelers, Cyprus Airways and Air India have established a new interline agreement aimed at streamlining travel between their networks. This partnership is set to make international journeys not only faster but also more convenient and enjoyable for passengers.
Under this agreement, travelers can book a single ticket that simplifies the booking process, enjoy a unified baggage policy, and experience seamless transfers between flights. This strategic collaboration is expected to significantly broaden travel options through major hubs, thereby offering access to an even larger network across Europe and India.
Key airports included in this expanded network are Larnaca International Airport (LCA), Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi (DEL), Dubai International Airport (DXB), Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris (CDG), Tel Aviv (TLV), and Milan’s Malpensa Airport (MXP).
For passengers flying with Cyprus Airways, this agreement opens up a myriad of destinations in India. Travelers will now have easy access to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kochi via Air India flights. Conversely, Air India passengers can connect seamlessly to Cyprus Airways flights to Larnaca through Air India’s hubs in Dubai, Tel Aviv, Paris, and Milan.
This partnership was formalized during the 81st IATA Annual General Meeting in New Delhi, where Air India also signed additional interline agreements with airBaltic, Bulgaria Air, and Uzbekistan Airways, as well as codeshare agreements with Air Mauritius and Icelandair.
Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “Our new partnership with Cyprus Airways enhances our global network and provides easier access for our passengers to and from Cyprus, a rising tourist destination for Indians and a country with increasingly strong trade ties with India.”
With this new interline agreement, travelers can look forward to a more streamlined and enjoyable travel experience between Cyprus and India, making it easier than ever to explore these vibrant destinations.
