The Police warn about fraudulent offers recently appearing on social media, supposedly from legitimate companies operating in Cyprus, advertising exceptionally low-priced products.

They emphasize that such offers aim to extract personal data and money from unsuspecting citizens.

The public is urged not to trust dubious offers and to avoid transactions without verifying the advertisement’s authenticity.

At the same time, the Police provide advice for safe online navigation:

• Check the reliability of the website, advertisement, and company.
• Do not share personal data or make payments without confirmation.
• Report any suspicious incidents to the Police (Cybercrime Unit, tel. 22-808200).
