US President Donald Trump has posted a on his social media accounts, presenting his vision for the Gaza Strip, which has caused strong reactions. The short clip, which was a creation by the help of artificial intelligence, depicts a future version of the region of Gaza as a luxurious entertainment and tourism destination, full of skyscrapers, beaches and shopping malls.
The publication came shortly after the US president’s statements that Washington could “take over” Gaza, level it and rebuild it. In the video, the destroyed area is transformed into a modern metropolis, with a vibrant nightlife, restaurants, luxury hotels, and a huge golden statue of Trump dominating the city center.
The video is of total length of 35-second and it begins with the question: “Gaza 2025. What’s next?” It then cuts to footage of families and children playing on the beaches, next to imposing hotels built on the ruins. In one shot, Elon Musk is seen enjoying luxurious meals and handing out money to visitors and children, while in another scene, bearded men dance on the sand to the sounds of a song with lyrics praising Trump.
“Donald is coming to set you free, to bring the light for all to see. No more tunnels, no more fear, Trump’s Gaza is finally here,” the lyrics read, accompanied by images depicting a version of Gaza as a luxury tourist resort.
The video culminates with a skyscraper marquee reading “Trump’s Gaza” and an imposing gold statue of the former president dominating the landscape. Shortly before the end, Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu are seen relaxing on beach loungers, holding drinks.
