Football National Team of Cyprus: Press conference and training prior to the match with San Marino

The World Cup 2026 qualifiers of for our national team is approaching. Tomorrow, Friday at 21:00 our team welcomes San Marino at AEK Arena and aims to start the journey into the World Cup 2026 qualifiers with a win.

Debut for our national team coach, Mr Apostolos Mantzios, who will speak at a press conference today at 17:00 at AEK Arena. Later on, the last training session of our team will take place at 17:30 which will be open to the media for 15 minutes.

The game between Cyprus and San Marino will take place on Friday 19:00 at AEK Arena in Larnaka.

In the 2026 World Cup qualifiers Cyprus was drawn in Group 8 with Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania and San Marino.

Following the game against San Marino, Cyprus will face Bosnia and Herzegovina away on March 24.

The team that finishes first in the group will qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup. The second-placed team will enter the play-offs alongside fifteen other teams, with only four securing a spot in the final tournament.
