Ozzy Osbourne, Heavy Metal Legend, dies aged 76

Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of Black Sabbath and one of the most influential figures in rock music, has died at the age of 76. Known as the “Prince of Darkness,” Osbourne passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family.

Born in Birmingham, England in 1948, Osbourne rose to fame in the 1970s with Black Sabbath, pioneering the heavy metal genre with a dark, brooding sound that became his signature. After parting ways with the band in 1979, he launched a highly successful solo career, releasing hits like “Crazy Train” and “Mr. Crowley.”

Despite battles with substance abuse and health challenges, including a Parkinson’s diagnosis, Osbourne remained active in music for over five decades. His final live performance took place just weeks before his passing, in a farewell concert held in his hometown of Birmingham.

Osbourne’s legacy extends beyond music. His larger-than-life persona, unique voice, and cultural impact through reality television made him a household name across generations. He leaves behind a lasting imprint on rock history and millions of devoted fans worldwide.
