Prince Harry Meets King Charles for the First Time in 18 Months

Prince Harry’s car was spotted arriving at the King’s residence in London on Wednesday afternoon, confirming reports that father and son had reunited.

The meeting took place shortly after 5:00 p.m. local time at Clarence House, King Charles’ London home, during Prince Harry’s current visit to the UK. This marks their first encounter since February 2024, just days after King Charles revealed he had been undergoing cancer treatment.

Recent signs suggested that their relationship had been improving, with speculation that the two might meet during Harry’s trip to Britain. Sources close to Prince Harry told PEOPLE magazine that in recent months, King Charles had not been responding to his calls, and messages left by Harry had gone unanswered.

Prince Harry had expressed a desire to begin a path toward reconciliation, telling BBC News in May that he hoped for a “reconnection.” At the same time, he acknowledged that some of his actions in recent years, including his autobiography, had made communication with family members more difficult.

This meeting is seen as a significant milestone in their relationship.
